Conference theme & Objectives: Optimizing inter-professional education [IPE] to improve health care quality
Summary of the Conference:
The 3rd ACiNE was a three-day conference, devided into 7 keynote speeches, 3 planary sessions, 2 symposium sessions, and 3 parallel sessions. One day prior to the conference, 4 workshop were focused on improving teaching and learning process in nursing education. Totally accepted 166 oral presentations, and 99 poster presentations. Influential famous nursing scholars and the participants brought their new nursing education models, globalization, innovation, and inter-disciplinary cooperation topics into focus as future trends. One hundreds and twelve participants, approximately one quarter of the participants are from Taiwan. Taiwan took the responsibility of holding the 2nd closed-door meeting, by invited 33 nursing experts and scholars from 8 countries attended this meeting to discuss the future plan and make a consensus of forming the Asia and Pacific Alliance of Nursing Education (APANE).
